Paul Brand
Paul's paintings have won 22 awards (including three Best of Show awards) at
Spectrum, the Toledo Artists' Club, the Northwest Ohio Watercolor Society Annual
and the Fifth-Third Bank Show (Toledo, Ohio). His paintings have been accepted in
competitive exhibitions including the 2005 and 2006 Ohio Watercolor Society
Annuals, and at  the Touchstone Gallery, Washington, D.C., Period Gallery,
Omaha, Nebraska, The Ohio State University at Mansfield, Ohio, the Great Lakes
Pastel Society Annual, Grand Rapids, Michigan (twice), and the Wassenberg Art
Center June Art Exhibit, Van Wert, Ohio.

He teaches watercolor, composition and gouache at the Toledo Museum of Art,  
and watercolor, oil, acrylic and pastel classes and workshops for Spectrum and the
Toledo Artists' Club. Paul has demonstrated watercolor, pastel and oil painting
techniques for many art organizations in Northwest Ohio.

He has had one-man shows of pastels, watercolors and oils at Tiffin University
(1998 and 2001), at the Spectrum Gallery and at the Medical College of Ohio. Paul
had joint shows with his daughter Renée at Orobs Gallery in Toledo in 2001 and
2002 and he has exhibited at The American Gallery (with the Monday Morning
Painters) and the Toledo Clinic.

His paintings are in the permanent collection at the University of Tiffin.  Paul was
elected into the Northern Ohio Watercolor Society, and has served on the Boards of
the Toledo Artists' Club and Spectrum Friends of Fine Art.

Paul joined the faculty of the Medical College of Ohio in 1975. He is an Associate
Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology.
